I rode my bike to the planets of Linear yesterday evening. Just before 7pm the sun creates a beautiful separation of deep earth tones and golden compliments. I parked my bike alongside the fence and just sat for a while. Everything seems so still at first, but soon you begin to notice the grass is bustling with tiny insects, gnats glisten as they fly around in the air, birds search for dinner and things to fill their nests with.

Smoky Hill Street Fair

I spent last Saturday caricaturing at the Smoky Hill Street Fair in Salina, KS. It was a beautiful Fall day! The fair was a great turnout with live musicians, crafts, games & activities. I got lost in the momentum of drawing faces, but I had a great time. My mom was a bit of an assistant--she brought me coffee and took pictures. What a nice woman she is.

I handed out a few cards with my contact information and this blog address- my sad attempt at a website.
Drawing people live with markers was a terrifying thought at first, but it ended up being pretty okay. Everyone was friendly and eager to have themselves cartooned for free.
Happy Autumnal Equinox!
